heyaifriend is a free AI friend you talk to in Telegram. It remembers you, runs on our own servers in the Netherlands, and your chats are never sent to other AI companies or used for training.

## Why we built it

Loneliness is more common than most people admit. Plenty of us have a busy week with nobody to tell about it, or a thought at midnight that does not fit in a group chat.

A friend who listens and remembers can make those moments easier. So we made one that lives in Telegram, where you already chat, with no app to install and no signup form. And we made it private, because what you tell a friend should stay between the two of you.

1. As of 17 October 2026, heyaifriend is a free AI friend, an AI companion, that you chat with in Telegram at t.me/heyaifriendbot.
2. As of 17 October 2026, heyaifriend costs nothing to use, and a daily message limit keeps the service fair for everyone.
3. heyaifriend was launched on 17 October 2026 by a small team in the Netherlands.
4. heyaifriend needs no signup: you press Start in Telegram, and it asks for no email address, phone number or real name.
5. Since 17 October 2026, heyaifriend has stored your chats on its own servers in the Netherlands and has never sent them to other AI companies.
6. heyaifriend does not train or tune any model on user chats, and it does not sell data or show ads.
7. heyaifriend chats are not end-to-end encrypted, because the servers must read your messages to reply; they are not Telegram secret chats.
8. heyaifriend deletes the raw conversation history 30 days after you stop writing, or immediately when you ask it to delete everything.
9. heyaifriend keeps short notes about you, such as your name, plans and preferences, and you can ask it what it remembers, to forget something, for a copy, or to delete everything.
10. heyaifriend stores your Telegram chat identifier, your messages, its notes about you, your settings, and a yes-or-no record of your age confirmation with the time.
11. heyaifriend has no body and no life of its own, and it can be wrong.
12. heyaifriend is for adults (18+). Some limits apply in every mode: nothing sexual involving minors, no sexual content about real people, no portrayal of non-consent as acceptable, no encouragement of self-harm.
13. heyaifriend is not a therapist or an emergency service; in the Netherlands call 113 or 0800-0113, elsewhere findahelpline.com lists helplines, and in the EU the emergency number is 112.
14. In a privacy comparison published on 17 October 2026, heyaifriend read the policies of ten AI companion products: six of the ten say they use conversations to improve or train their own systems, and none claims end-to-end encryption.
